Saatchi Art has included one of my fine art photos in its International Spotlight: India collection curated by Audrey Wolfe (Assistant Curator). The collection focuses on Indian artists who are “referencing mythology, spirituality, craft arts, and more through vibrant art.”
My image in this collection is titled ‘Inner Woman’. The play of light and movement captured via long exposure photography of a dance performance by Soraya Franco results in the revelation of hidden visual dimensions. Soraya Franco presented her performance titled Yoga Dance as part of the Assorted Impressions performance by women choreographers which took place back in 2009 in New Delhi. This is one of my earliest photographic works which started my series ‘Motion Pictures in Poetry’.
