In the age of selfies and social media overload, everybody is world famous for 15 minutes, perhaps multiple times in a day if you consider ‘likes’ as a barometer of fame. Even Andy Warhol’s wild imagination would be tested if he could see how his prophecy about fame is playing out in the 21st century. From cinema to the K-Pop phenomenon, the visual interpretation of fame has always intrigued me in how those in the spotlight and those living in its reflected glory ‘frame’ themselves to project an image which they hope will stand the test of time.

This series includes both staged and candid images which try and capture fame in its myriad forms with an emphasis on how mobile phones are omnipresent and powerful in defining who deserves to be framed.
