Photography Masters Cup – 2013

In the 7th Photography Masters Cup 2013 awards, my entry “…Because They Take Themselves Lightly” received a nomination in the Abstract (Pro) category. This series also won an Honorable Mention in the 2013 International Photography Awards.

This image is an extension of my long-running series revolving around the interplay of light and movement. And that is why I chose the title to reflect this vision: “…Because They Take Themselves Lightly”. The title is inspired by one of my favorite sayings – “Angels can fly, because they take themselves lightly.” I wanted to somehow capture this beautiful thought in an image and I hope you, as the viewer, can experience and celebrate this emotion.
